A passenger aboard the Carnival Mardi Gras contacted Cruise Law News reporting that an adult male passenger assaulted a teenager in the ship’s teen club at around 9:30 pm on November 22.
The tipster, who wishes to remain anonymous, is on the same hall as the alleged assailant and saw him before and after the incident. According to the tipster, the assailant said “I’m gonna go beat his ass & throw him off the ship…” before he went to the teen club. The assailant has reportedly been under “24/7” security since the incident.
The teen was reportedly “badly injured” from the assault.
The Carnival Mardi Gras sent a letter regarding the incident to passengers that was obtained by Cruise Law News.

The assailant will be disembarked and sent home according to the letter. The ship’s next stop is Turks and Caicos at 8:00 a.m November 24.
The letter confirms an incident occurred in the teen club, Club O2, which Carnival describes as a place to “Hang out doing stuff like watching movies, listening to music from this decade, playing sports and video games, joining karaoke jam sessions…” An adult entering the teen club and assaulting a minor highlights the lack of effective security aboard Carnival ships.
In the letter, the captain urges passengers to not post videos of the assault, ostensibly for the privacy of the minors, and to delete the video. In reality, this request is for the protection of Carnival’s reputation and image. Carnival recently led all cruise lines in reported onboard crimes in Q3 2025 according to U.S. federal data.
Cruise Law News has not yet verified all elements of the passenger’s account, although Carnival’s letter confirms that an incident occurred in Club O2 and that the adult will be taken off the ship. Cruise Law News will continue to follow this story for developments.
